The Eco Crafting at Perth’s Festival of Yarn

Sunday 10th September was raining, reminding us that summer was quietly slipping away.  However there was plenty of enthusiasm was to be found in a big queue for the start of the Festival of Yarn in Perth, Scotland. I was there to check out the upcycling and eco innovations in the room 😊 First up was The Woolly Pedlar , someone I follow on Twitter.  Sue’s upcycling is based on a patchwork design and her constructed design really stands out when you see her gloves, jumpers and shawls in real life.  I was interested to hear about her new product the “coffee cosy” made from merino wool sock tops from The House of Cheviot.  The coffee cosy comes in four colour ways and is available from Sue’s website at www.woollypedlar.co.uk.  At £8.50 with free P&P, they would be a great Xmas gift idea 🎁 Sue is a regular blogger / on instagram/ twitter about her work and her passion for recycling.
